The public institution is an organization in the field of education whose main activity is developing and administering a centralized information system for admission to educational programmes (CPIS). The system enables applicants to submit applications and conduct admissions to educational programmes at various levels in one place and automatically, from pre-primary and general education to non-formal education and vocational training, thereby ensuring equal and accessible admission services for all participants in the education system. The institution also disseminates information about education providers, programmes, admission conditions and results. The institution was established on the initiative of the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport of the Republic of Lithuania to modernize and simplify admission processes in Lithuania.
